Wanda Peavy Schewe, 75, of Leesville, Louisiana entered eternal peace on Saturday, May 23, 2015. Wanda was born on August 31, 1939 in Leesville, Louisiana to William Zachary Peavy and Ellen Susanna Johnson Peavy. She was a lifelong resident of Vernon Parish where she raised her children. She was a good mother, who always put her children first. Her children will tell you that their mother always had a little jar of sunshine, and that she taught them the value of hard work. A devoted mother who instilled in her children solid values and morals needed. She shared, and taught her children religion. Wanda was of the Baptist faith. Wanda was very involved in her children's education and extra-curricular activities. She was very much a "Daddy's girl". No matter where her husband was stationed overseas, she always came home to her parents. Wanda was a loyal, devoted and faithful wife. She will be missed by all who were blessed to know her.

Mrs. Schewe was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Kenneth "Chief" Schewe; parents, Bill and Suzie Peavy; two grandchildren, Craig Anthony Sickels and Jake Kenneth Schewe; three brothers, Herbert Reed Peavy, Corbet Peavy and Phillip Roger Peavy.

Those left to cherish her memory are three sons and one daughter-in-law; three daughters and one son-in-law; two sisters of Leesville, LA; two grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Hixson Funeral Home, Leesville, LA. Interment followed in Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, Leesville, LA.
