Abigail Peck, daughter of William Peck and his first wife (name unknown), was baptized 12 Feb 1720/1, Litchfield, Connecticut. [1][2]
Abigail's first husband James Stoddard was born 20 June 1714. They were married on 22 June 1738. [3][4]
Abigail and James Stoddard had at least three children: Sarah, who married Mr. Stone and died 1818; Bryant 1739-1824; Orange 1741-1824, who married Experience Nash 15 December 1765 at Stockbridge, Province of Massachusetts Bay.[5]
The widow Abigail (Peck) Stoddard married second, Abel Barnes [1] 19 January 1752, and they had a daughter: Lucretia who married Elijah Higbe 10 July 1771. [6]
Abigail (Peck) (Stoddard) Barnes was buried at the Morris Burying ground, Morris, Litchfield County, Connecticut Colony. Her gravestone inscription: [7]
"In Memory of Mrs Abagiel, [sic] Wife of Mr Abel Barns & Widow of Mr. James Stoddar. She Died Octobr ye 3 A D 1757 Aged 36 years".
