Biography

Ruth Peck, daughter of Paul and Martha (Hale) Peck,[1] was born about 1660 or 1661.[2][3]

She died 5 December 1686 in Wallingford, about six weeks after the birth of her fourth child.,[1][2][3] Of Ruth's four children with Thomas Beach, the only surviving child was Ruth Beach, who married Samuel Fairchild of Stratford.[1]

Ruth [4] married Thomas BEACH, ceremony conducted by Captain Allyn, a Hartford magistrate.[1]

Research Notes

Savage mentions potential daughters of Paul Peck, one being Ruth.[5]

The above mentioned work of Savage (published 1860), as regards the family of Paul Peck was corrected by Donald Lines Jacobus in The Family of Paul Peck, of Hartford, Connecticut, published in TAG, Vol 9, pp 82, in 1932. Jacobus uncovers the will of Paul Peck, Sr., written about nine years after the death of Ruth (Peck) Beach. In it, Paul Peck names his granddaughter Ruth Beach.[1]

".. and thus the wife of Thomas Beach is identified as a daughter of Paul Peck."[1]
