When Samuel Peden was born on September 28, 1787, his father, Samuel, was 33 and his mother, Mary, was 25.[2] He had 15 children with Mary Lewis . He died on September 22, 1853, in Iowa at the age of 65, and was buried in Davis, Iowa. Samuel Peden served in the Civil War.[3]
