Bertha Pedersdatter was born 27 September 1863 at Haus Parish, Hordaland, Norway. Her parents were Peder Nilsen and Martha Johannesdatter.^[1] In the municipal census for 1912 for Bergen, Norway we find the following family^[2]:

1. Johannes Wiik - born 1861-09-12 - at Brudvik (i.e., Bruvik Parish, Hordaland, Norway - at the thime of his birth, Bruvik was part of Haus Parish, Hordaland, Norway)) – skomager (shoemaker)
