Margaret Brown was enumerated at Post Office Mills?, Township 15 Range 8, Attala County, Mississippi for the July 24, United States Census, 1860. She was noted as born 1835 in Alabama as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are male John Brown, male Joseph F Brown, female Mary E Brown and female Sarintha A Brown.^[1]

Margaret C Brown was enumerated as wife at Northeast, Attala County, Mississippi for the June 9, United States Census, 1880. She was noted as keeping house, born 1837 in Alabama and married as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are self John R Brown, son Joseph F Brown, daughter Mary E Brown, daughter Cyrinthia E Brown, daughter Martha A Brown, son James A Brown, son William P Brown, daughter Laura F Brown, daughter Sarah M Brown, daughter Nancy Brown and daughter Maggie Brown.^[2]
