Biography

Gurtude Peeler was enumerated as daughter at Sixth Street, Fort Dodge, Webster County, Iowa for the June 9, United States Census, 1880. She was noted as born 1875 in Iowa and single as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are self Charles A Peeler, wife Laura Peeler, daughter Della Peeler, son Franklin Peeler, son Charles Peeler, daughter Blanch Peeler and daughter Baby Peeler.[1]

G Peeler was enumerated in Lehigh, Webster County, Iowa for the Iowa State Census, 1885. She was noted as born 1877 in Webster County, Wisconsin as seen in an image of the original census. Also included in the household are male A Peeler, female L E Peeler, female D M Peeler, male F Peeler, male Charles Peeler, female Bla Peeler, female C Peeler, female E Peeler and male Wm R Peeler.[2]

Gertie A Peeler was enumerated at Webster County, Iowa for the Iowa State Census, 1895. She was noted as born 1876 in Webster County, Iowa. She was marked as Christian as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are male Abner Peeler, female Laura E Peeler, male Charles Peeler, female Blanche Peeler, female Carrie Peeler, female Edith Peeler, male Wm Peeler and male Earl Peeler.[3]

Gertie Peeler wed Wm Whitman August 1, 1896 in Woodbury County, Iowa. Her father was listed as Charles Peeler and her mother Laran Roas. The groom's father was listed as M Whitman and the mother Liddi Gooding.[4]

Gertie Whiteman was enumerated as wife of the head of household at 605 Merritt, Webster city Ward 1 & 5, Hamilton County, Iowa for the June 5, United States Census, 1900. She was noted as born September 1875 in Iowa and had been married four years. She was the mother of one child and this child was still living as seen in an image of the original census. Also included in the household are head William Whiteman, daughter Eva Whiteman and lodger Blanch Eddie.[5]

Gertrude A Whiteman was enumerated as wife of the head of household at 304 Stockdale Street, Webster Ward 1, Hamilton County, Iowa for the April 20, United States Census, 1910. She was noted as born 1877 in Iowa and had been married fourteen years. She was a dressmaker (home). She was the mother of three children of which all were still living as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are head William Whiteman, daughter Eva Whiteman, son Wayne Whiteman and son Raymond Whiteman.[6]

Gertrude Taylor??. (This last name must be a transcription/read-error from Family Search) was listed as the mother of son] William Wayne Whiteman who died December 18, 1918 in Webster City, Hamilton County, Iowa Death. The father was listed as Wm Whiteman.[7]

Gertrude Whiteman was enumerated as wife of the head of household at 850 Division Street, Webster Ward 3, Hamilton County, Iowa for the January 2, United States Census, 1920. She was noted as born 1877 in Iowa and married. She was a dressmaker as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are head William Whiteman and son Donald Whiteman.[8]

Peeler was listed as the mother of Raymond Eugene Whiteman who died November 7, 1940 in the Tulare County, California. The father was listed as Whiteman.[9]

Gertrude Adelia Peeler Whiteman is buried at Idlewilde Cemetery in Hood River, Hood River County, Oregon.[10]
