Joseph Pegler was christened on the 16th of June 1776 at Kings Stanley, Gloucestershire, England, the son of John Pegler. ^[1]

Joseph Pegler married Hester Croome on the 16th of February 1796 at King's Stanley, Gloucestershire, England. ^[2]

They had the following children, all christened at King's Stanley, Gloucestershire. :

1. George Pegler, christened 19 November 1797. ^[3]
2. Richard Pegler, christened 1st February 1801. ^[4]
3. Absalom Pegler, christened on the 8th of April 1804. ^[5]
4. Joseph Pegler, christened on the 7th of April 1811 ^[6]
5. Elizabeth Pegler,christened 13th June 1813. ^[7]

Joseph Pegler died in December 1875, aged 99. ^[8] He was buried on the 29th of December at Hempstead, Gloucestershire, England. The burial record notes his date of baptism in the margin as: King's Stanley: June 16th, 1776. ^[9]
