Theresa Peltier was born on 8 March 1759 in Détroit, Pays-d'en-Haut, Nouvelle France, daughter of Jean Baptiste Pelletier and Marie Josephe Cornet.
Teresa (20) married Charles Jean Baptiste Chapoton (21) (son of Jean Baptiste Chapoton and Félicité Cesire) on 1 February 1780 in Detroit, Upper Canada (which later became part of Michigan, USA). Their marriage contract had been signed the previous day. [1]
Teresa died in July 1795 in Detroit, United States, aged 36.
