Catherine married John Taylor, brother of Mary Taylor, wife of her brother, Henry. Her son, "John Taylor of Carolina, was well known. Even more notable is the fact that she became the ancestor of five presidents; James Madison, Zachary Taylor, William Henry Harrison, Benjamin Harrison and John Tyler.
