Biography
William was born in abotu 1767. He is the son of William Penland and Alice Donnal. [1] William married Rachel Alexander about 1790. In 1790 and 1800 he is enumerated on the federal census in Burke, North Carolina. [2][3] By 1830 he is in Buncombe County, North Carolina. [4]
