I have a Nancy Penn whom I believe married a Barcroft in possibly Grainger or Jefferson Co., TN. She was on the 1820 census of Bedford as head of household listed as Nancy Parcroft, Barcroft. with one male 10-15, one female 16-25 and one female over 45. She was listed next to Benjamin Penn and Edward Stephenson. A brother and brother-in-law. Did her Barcroft husband (poss. Daniel) die or did they divorce? Her daughter Nancy L. Barcroft married a Hopper and moved to Missouri.

Now I think this fairly well proves that Nancy L. Penn d/o Richard and Catherine Moulder Penn was married to a Barcroft (Daniel) and had the daughter Nancy Lukey Barcroft. Benjamin Penn was a brother to Nancy Penn and her sister was married to Edward Stephenson. There was a Daniel Barcroft who built a mill on Forked Deer Creek in 1821. This is in Henderson Co., TN. Was this the husband of Nancy Penn. Or was her husband dead, or was they divorced or seperated??? I cannot find either of them after 1820. Help. Thanks, Carol
