Lieutenant Edward Pennington served with Virginia Militia during the American Revolution.

Edward Pennington is a DAR Patriot Ancestor, A088586.

Edward Pennington (ca. 1745-ca. 1801), a lieutenant in the Mecklenburg County Militia during the Revolutionary War and the son of Benjamin and Lucy Bailey Pennington, was probably born in Brunswick County, Virginia. He moved to Mecklenburg County, Virginia, in 1761, and married Nettie Lark, daughter of Dennis and Sarah Lark, ca. 1770. They had nine children, 1772-1784. The family was living in Lincoln County, Kentucky, before 1799.[1]
