Birth registery shows birth year 1856 Death Certificate shows birth year 1860 ___________________ Mrs Victoria Pennington, 78, widow of the late Levi Pennington, died Sunday evening at 6:55, at the home of her son, Charles, 2064 Oakview Road. She had been ill for the past two weeks. Her husband preceded her in death in 1914.

She was born in Lawrence County, Sept. 9, 1860, the daughter of Rev. and Mrs. Lefas Hylton.

Surviving are six sons, Charles Pennington, Ashland; Wick Fraley, Newcastle, PA.; Farris Pennington, Willard, KY.; Linze Pennington, Greenup County; Vallas Pennington, Otway, Ohio; three daughters, Mrs. Lillian Hicks, Huntington, W. Va. ; Mrs. Pearl Matthews, Otway; and Mrs Anne Mae Sloas, Sansilk, Ky; and one brother, Nathan Hylton, Greenup County.

Funeral rites will be conducted from the home of her son, Charles, tonight at 7:30 o'clock with the Rev. Dave Sturgill and Rev. Autie Keeton in charge. The body will be taken to the family cemetery in Carter County tomorrow morning for burial.
