Richard Pennington married Hannah (Boone) Stewart 15 May 1777 in Rowan Co, NC and they soon settled in White Co, TN. Richard PENNINGTON d 21 Dec 1813 Sparta, White Co, TN and there was a Monument dedication for him 3 Sept 2005 at Bethlehem Church in Doyle. He was a Revolutionary War Soldier who served in Capt. Enoch Osborns's Company at Fort Virginia.[1]

Richard PENNINGTON married Hannah BOONE on 5 May 1777 in Salisbury, Rowan Co., NC. Hannah BOONE was born 24 Aug. 1746 in Berks Co., PA. She was the daughter of Squire BOONE and Sarah MORGAN, and the youngest sister of the famous Daniel BOONE.

Everything I've seen, including material from the PRA and what's here on this profile, indicates that Richard was the son of Ephraim Pennington V and an unknown wife. Can someone explain what findings are now suggesting that he was the son of Benejah Pennington?

Also, many of the links on this page are dead and should probably be removed.

There is another Richard Pennington shown as the son of Ephraim Pennington V. See Pennington-692. I don't have information sufficient to straighten out who is who. I'll clean up the links on this one.
