When Mary Carrel 'Mollie' Pennington was born on September 14, 1861, in Lawrence, Tennessee, her father, Charles, was 25 and her mother, Mary, was 25. She married James Thomas 'Jimmie' Troop on September 22, 1883, in Lawrence, Tennessee. They had 10 children in 19 years. She died on November 13, 1950, in Lone Grove, Oklahoma, at the age of 89, and was buried there.
