Biography

Abraham was born in 1787. Not sure exactly where he was born. He came to the Ligonier Valley in the early 1800's. I am not sure where findagrave got Virginia, maybe the 1870 census. Abraham Penrod married Elizabeth Beveridge. He was widowed in 1853 and lived on his farm with his son Casper (and family) until he died. He passed away in 1880 and is buried in the Penrod Cemetery in Ligonier Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania..[1]

There is a Abraham Penrod listed in the 1820 and 1830 census in Quemahoning, Somerset, Pennsylvania. In 1840 one appears in Westmoreland and no longer in Somerset.
