1 Oct 1406: Inquisition Post mortem of Margery widow of William Batesford. Lists adult Roger Fienles as her heir, he being the son of William Fienles and Margaret's daughter Elizabeth (Battisford) Fienles.[6]

She did not marry Sir Robert de Cheney - she was his son's mother-in-law. She has been disconnected as hs wife.

Excerpt from Sussex Archaeological Collections

"Vincent Finch, living Hen. IV., married Isabel daughter and coheir of Robert Cralle, by Margery daughter and coheir of Simon de Peplesham (Collins' Peerage. Finch quarters, in respect of the match, Sa. 3 ducks arg, in pale for Peplesham (Harl. MSS., 3917, p.31. In Nettlested church, county Kent, Battesford (argent 3 crests sa. a canton gules) impales sable 3 ducks arg. in pale for Peplesham; and in Brenchley church, Battesford occurs impaling Pepplesham. Sir Wm. Fienes, who died 1405, married Elizabeth, daughter and heir of Wm. de Battesford (of B. in Warbleton) by Margery (sed quarer) daughter and coheir of Simon de Peplesham."[7]

It seems that the birth date estimated for Margery seems to be quite a bit too early. She had four daughters by her first husband, who died in 1389 [Fox, P.A., 2020, Great Cloister - a Lost Canterbury Tale, p. 106], and then three more with her second husband. With the 1335 birth year, she would have been at least 54 years old at the time of her first husband's death. She would have been in her late 50s when she had daughters five through seven. That seems a stretch!

DePeplesham-1 and Peplesham-1 appear to represent the same person because: The 1406 and 1407 difference in DoD is most likely due to the calendar change in 1752.
I think LNAB s/b Peplesham, same as her father. Royal Ancestry Vol 2, p 579, 580
