Birth
John Herman was born on the 29th Jan'y 1873, son of John Pepper and Sarah Richards. Reported by John Pepper, farmer, Elizabethtown, on March 12, 1873.
John reported his date of birth as November 27, 1872, in the 1901 Census.
His headstone simply gives his year of birth as 1872, while his Find A Grave memorial more specifically reports it as January 29, 1872.
