He was the son of John Franklin and Mary A (Vickery) Perdue. He married Sudie E Sanders on May 11, 1916, in Cotton County, Oklahoma. They were the parents of Rubin Ansel Perdue. From the Oct. 6, 1922, Waurika News-Democrat Sebe Perdue Dies Here After Week's Illness Sebe Perdue, who came here only a couple of weeks ago and with R.R. Beavers, purchased the restaurant of Charles Stephens known as Charlie's Place, died Monday evening after a week's illness. The cause of his death is said to have been acute indigestion. Mr. Perdue was a native of Kentucky but had been in this country for several years. Until coming to Waurika, he had operated a store west of Temple for about eight months. The purchase of the Stephens restaurant was made two weeks ago this Friday and Mr. Perdue took sick the following Monday. He was sick just a week and his sudden death was a distinct shock to his family and friends. He is survived by a wife and one son five years of age. Perdue was 34 years of age. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at the Waurika Cemetery by Rev. Drumgoole, following which the remains were gently lowered to their last earthly resting place. The family, who are newcomers in our midst, has the sympathy of the entire community.

From the Aug. 4, 1932, Cotton County News Remembrance of Sebe Perdue by Walter Hubbard Did you ever have a pal - a real pal - to die and leave you? One who you loved like a brother! It happened to me. Sebe Perdue was his name. He came from Kentucky to Oklahoma Territory in 1905, or thereabouts, and sets stakes in and around Temple. He was just a lad then about eighteen. A spare made kid with red hair and blue eyes, Irish of course - as true as steel with a heart of gold. We became pals, as good as the best. Through thick and thin, sunshine and rain, we stuck together. Nothing ever came between us. Sebe died in 1921 [sic]. He left a son four years old. Ancel Perdue is his name. He's a spare made lad about fifteen. Red headed with blue eyes - Irish of course - just like his dad. Ancel visited me this week. He took me back to 1906. Scenes of my early youth reappeared. I lived over again a few hours with my good pal. It was his voice, his red head, his Irish wit, but he called me Uncle Walt.
