He appears in the 1837 Directory for Toronto, Chinqucousy (East of Hurontario Street), Con 3. lot 26^[4]

George M. Perdue, grandson of the subject (and son of Peter Turquard) in a letter to Wm Perkins Bull, 28 Aug 1936, from Fenlon Falls:

He wrote of Henry Pedue being born in Tipperary, near Crohan, Ireland in 1812. While he did not know the date of emigration, he did know he and five brothers came out about the same time, and settled in Chinguacousy. Henry married Eunice Ellen McCollum Jan 1879, and provides a list of children, birth date (approx.) and other details. He moved to Fenlon Township, ( lot 29, conc. 7), "about 50 years back" and named it "Crohan Farm".^[7]
