Biography
Stella Perkins Hobbs, 95, of Wilmington, died Monday, May 10, 2004, at Davis Health Care Center, Wilmington.
Born Aug. 8, 1908, in Mooresville, she was a daughter of the late Ross C. and Wincie Elizabeth Osborne Perkins. Mrs. Hobbswas a homemaker and member of Pleasant Hill Primitive Baptist Church, Statesville.
She was married to Andrew Pressley "Press" Hobbs, who preceded her in death.
A grandson, Richard L. Berry, also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Hobbs is survived by a daughter, Beth H. Berry of Wilmington; sisters, Dee Sherrill and Bernice Sloop, both of Mooresville; granddaughter, Cindy Berry; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today, Wednesday, May 12, at the Cavin-Cook Funeral Home Chapel, Mooresville, with Elder Charles Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Memorial Park.
