William was born 02 Dec 1789 in Pomfret, Windsor, Vermont.[1] He was the son of William Perkins and Martha "Patty" Claflin.
He married Lucy Seaver. They had a large family.
They were in Crown Point, Essex, New York in 1840.[2]
In 1850, this appears to be their family group in Crown Point.[3] William and Lucy's ages appear to be written as 39 and 37 by the census taker but may have been 59 and 57.
In 1860, they were living with son William and his family in Crown Point.[5]
In 1865, they were living with their son John in Crown Point.[6] It was listed as a 1st marriage for both; Lucy (transcribed as Susy on the record) was listed as the mother of 8 children.
He passed away in 1879 and was buried in White Church cemetery in Crown Point, Essex, New York.[7] His date of death and age (years only) at death was transcribed on his tombstone.
