Whitmeyer and Perkins Wedding

William P. Whitmeyer. son of Mr. and Mrs. George Whitmeyer of 12C Wright street, and Miss Carrie Agnes Perkins, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Perkins of Westernville, were married Wednesday evening at the parsonage of the First Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Philip H. Cole, D.D., pastor. They were attended by Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Whitmeyer, the former brother of the groom. The bride and her sister-in-law were attired in suits of blue with hats to match. After the ceremony the wedding supper was served at the home of the groom where the bride has been making her home, she having been in the city about a year. The groom Is a chauffeur in the employ of the Black and White taxi service. He has been here for four years coming to Rome from Canastota. The best man, brother of the groom. has been In the service in the United States Navy for a year and nine months, and for a year and three months he was stationed in France. At Brest, on September 25, he married a pretty French girl Frances LePape, on being discharged from the service, and they arrived in New York on November 18 and in this city two days later. She already speaks the American language vary well and she says she likes it in America. Hayden Dewey Whitmeyer. another brother, is home on a furlough from Fort Meyer, Va, He Is in the Motor Transportation Corps, having enlisted last May. Clayton R. Whitmeyer of Lockport, another brother, is home for the holidays. There was a family reunion Christmas day and a Christmas tree was unloaded.
