He was on the census with his parents and siblings in 1850 and 1860 in Chautauqua, Chautauqua, New York.[1][2]
On 10 Oct 1861, he enlisted as a private in Company I, 9th Cavalry Regiment New York.[3] He re-enlisted 01 Jan 1864.[4]
He was wounded at Todd's Point, Virginia on 07 May 1864 and died the next day.[5]
