Amelia Perkins was born in January 1938 and christened on 5 February 1938 in Smyrna, Turkey. She was the daughter of George Perkins and Séraphine Hélène Tricon.

Note

She was almost certainly the 'Amelie' Perkins who married Ernest Conrad Joseph de Cramer (1832 - 1887) in Smyrna, Turkey in 1860, and who bore 6 children. However, descendants of this Amelie Perkins de Cramer claim that her father was gardener to the Charnaud family, while the father of Amelia Perkins in this profile, George Perkins, was a well known merchant in Smyrna until his death at 53, with sources to prove that. He was also a member of the Levant Company. It is possible that there were 2 Amelia Perkins of the same age, living in Smyrna, Turkey at the time. However, descendants of Amelia Perkins, daughter of George Perkins, have been DNA matched to descendants of Amelie Perkins who married Ernest de Cramer, confirming that she was the same person.
