Louisa M (Perrault) Slater was born on August 22, 1869 in Shaftsbury, Bennington, Vermont, USA.^[1] Her parents were Peter Thomas Perrault Jr (1841 - 1905) and Lucy LaPoint (~1843 - 1903).

Louisa married Fred T Slater (1866 - 1948) in 1887 in New York.

Their son was Thomas P Slater (1892 - 1967).

Louisa died on August 7, 1938 in Binghamton, Broome, New York aged 66.

Research notes

The 1880 census has her age at 10 years old and the census was conducted in June before her birth date. Important Research Note: 23 April 1872 the daughter of Peter and Lucy (LaPoint) Perault had a 2 month and 7 day unnamed daughter that passed away in Shaftsbury, Bennington, Vermont, United States after immigrating to the United States from Canada. ^[8] If that is a true fact, then Lucy (LaPoint) Perault could not have been pregnant and gave birth to Louisa in Aug of 1871. Instead, she would have been born in 1870 or earlier.^[1]
