Mary Grace Perry and James John Hooper were married in St. Paul's, the parish church of Charleston, Cornwall, on the 12th March 1890. Both were aged 20 years, James from Holm-bush and Mary Grace from Grants' Walk, St. Austell. Their fathers recorded as Edward Hooper and Caleb Perry. Witnesses to their marriage were James' sister and brother-in-law, Henry and Eliza Pearce who had been married in the same church just a few days earlier. [3]
