Perry-4531 and Perry-760 appear to represent the same person because: Either these men are the same person, or one is a child who died young. The birth/death dates need good sources so we can tell them apart.

These two are clearly intended to represent the same person.
  • They have the same parents.
  • They have the same siblings (not listed in Perry-760 profile but identified in his source).
  • There is no record of Edward Perry and Mary Freeman Perry having two sons named Edward.

I recommend merging Perry-4531 into Perry-760.

  • I recommend keeping Perry-760 birth and death dates and locations as they are verified in his source.
  • Perry-4531 has no birth source and I can't verify the death source because it requires a login (not public information).
  • I recommend keeping siblings identified in Perry-4531 as they are also verified in Perry-760 source.
  • I recommend keeping spouse identified in Perry-760 as she is verified in his source.
  • I recommend keeping children identified in Perry-760 as they are verified in his source.

I believe that Edward's parents as listed are not correct. I believe his father was Edmund Perry (born 27 Jan 1588) and his mother was Sarah Crowell (born 1592). Ezra was a brother of Edmund.

Thanks for your comment John. The original genealogical research was done over 50 years ago by a great aunt. I trusted her work so much that I didn't check many sources. You are correct in that Ezra Perry (abt 1625) and Elizabeth Burgess are not Edward Perry's (abt 1673) parents.

But if you are correct that Edmund Perry (abt 1588) is his father, he would have had to father Edward when he was 88 years old. I think unlikely. According to everything I can find, Edward Perry (abt 1673 from Sandwich, Massachusetts Bay Colony) was the son of Edward Perry (abt 1632 from Sandwich, Massachusetts Bay Colony ) and Mary Freeman (married abt 1657). This Edward Perry is supposed to be the the brother of Ezra (abt 1644), Margaret, and Deborah Perry, all of the same town.

Thanks to your comment, I have updated the records.
