Mary DeCamp Perry was born on Apr. 19, 1889 to Edward Everett Perry and Amanda Jane "Jennie" Waldron.[1]
She graduated from Aberdeen High School in 1909.
She was married to Jesse Lloyd Flaugher on Nov. 23, 1912 by Rev.Louis A. Washburn in the Georgetown Methodist Church in Georgetown, Ohio.[2] They became the parents of seven children; Lillian Lloyd, Mildred Elizabeth, Carrie Mae, Edward Campbell, Harold Thomas, (Jesse) Howard and (Jenny) Ruth.[3]
Mary and Jesse would go on to have 72 years of marriage.
Mary was the Aberdeen correspondent for the Ripley Bee for many years.
She was a longtime member of the Aberdeen O. E. S. Chapter 561.
Mary Flaugher died at the age of 97 years on May 7, 1986 at the Meadowview Regional Hospital in Maysville, Kentucky. She is buried at Charter Oak Cemetery in Aberdeen, Ohio.[4]
