Biography

When James Santford Perry was born on August 6, 1881, in Rea, Missouri, his father, Robert, was 24 and his mother, Mary, was 21. He married Elsie Winifred Lewellen on April 4, 1905, in Orange County, California. They had seven children in 16 years. James and Elsie together owned and operated Perry's Dairy on north Citrus Avenue. Elsie and their children continued to run it after he passed. He died from pneumonia on June 22, 1926, in Anaheim, California, at the age of 44, and was buried in Glendora, California.
