Richard Brown(?) Perry (c.1830-unknown)

(Census records list his name as Richard B. Perry. A family source gives his middle name as Brown, but this has not yet been confirmed by documentary evidence.)

Richard was the eldest son of James Strauder Perry and Elizabeth (Lowery) Perry. He was born somewhere in Tennessee—most likely in Rutherford County, though this has not been confirmed—in either 1830 or 1831.
