Herbert was born 1890 in New Zealand, to Arthur Perry (1867 - ? ) and Mary Reid Evans (1869-1957).
Married Beatrice Louise Nash in NZ in 1921.
They had 2 children.
- John in 1922.
- Marjorie in 1924.
Beatrice died in Dunedin 1949.
Herbert remarried to Violet Ethel Speed and was living in Blenheim at the time of his death.
Bert is buried at Omaka Cemetery Blenheim Marlborough.
