Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Peters of Mineral Springs have been informed that their sons, Pvt. Clyde Peters and Pvt. Bernard L. Peters, are stationed at Camp Hood, Texas, and Camp Wheeler, Georgia, respectively.

MINERAL SPRINGS SOLDIER DIES IN FRENCH FIGHTING
MINERAL SPRINGS - PFC. Bernard L. Peters, of Mineral Springs, has been reported as another fatal casualty of the invasion. According to the War Department telegram received on Sunday by Mrs. Peters, the former Esther Belle Long of Clearfield, he was killed in action in France, June 12.
 
Peters, who was 25 years of age, attended the Clearfield High School and was a former employee of the Hope Brickyard in Woodland. He has been in the service for nearly two years and had been stationedfor a year of that time in England where he was serving as a member of the 115th Infantry. He received his training in the United States at Camp Wheeler, Ga., and Camp Reynolds, Pa.
 
In addition to his widow, Pfc. Peters is survived by a daughter, Kathryn Mae, aged two years; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde S. Peters of Mineral Springs; and the following brothers and sisters, Pvt.Clyde Peters, stationed in Italy; Pfc. Cyrus C. Peters in England; Cortez E. Peters of Mienral Springs; Mrs. Raymond Liddick, of Sandusky, Ohio; Mrs. Clifford Maines, of Woodland; and Marie Peters, at home.
