William was born in 1788 in Orangeburg, Orangeburg, South Carolina, United States. He was the son of John Christopher Peters and Mary Peters.[1]

In the 1850 census William (age about 62) was living in Lowndes, Georgia.[1]

William died at the age of about 72 in 1860 in Lakeland, Lanier, Georgia, United States.[2]
