Biography

In Philip Judd and his Descendants author Caroline Judd McDowell says: Within 2-3 yrs of her first husband Philip's death, Mary took her children by ox team to Strafford, Orange Co., Vermont. She remarried three times, first to ___ Jewett, a fellow soldier to Philip. The date of their marriage and his death are not known. After her children were married [after 1796?], she married a widower Nathaniel Brown. She earned a reputation as a skilled mid-wife. After Brown died, she moved in 1813 to Bethany, Genesee County, New York, to be near her son Liberty, and there at the age of 72, she married John Parkhurst.[1]

She is buried at Maple Grove Cemetery, East Bethany, Genesse, New York.[2]
