Research Notes

In 1953 Dossett in Cherokee County TX marred a Dodson. Dossett is a direct descendant through her brother Edmund. I, L. Bell Ruby, haven't worked the Dodson family back as I had no idea there could be a connection. It's possible they were double cousins.

Disputed Father

John Peters has been removed as a father for Sarah Peters Dodson, until documented sources can be provided to prove Sarah is the daughter of John Peters. John Peters' year of death is listed as about 1760, which is 5 years before Sarah was born. There are no documented sources for John Peters to prove a family relationship to children.
