Geertje Peters was born on October 4, 1888 in Baarn to parents Christiaan Peters and Hendrica de Jong.[1]
Geertje Peters emigrated with her parents and her brothers and sisters from the Netherlands in 1908 to the USA. The family arrived with the SS Statendam in New York at Ellis Island May, 19, 1908 with destination Iowa, Rock Valley. [2]
She married Marinus Van Meteren on 25 February 1910 in Archer, O'Brien Co., Iowa, United States.[3]
She died in 1962 and was buried at the East Lawn Cemetery in Sheldon, O’Brien County, Iowa, United States[4]
