Biography

Military Service: Private, 3rd Regiment (Alston's) South Carolina Militia, the 2nd American War of Independance, the War of 1812. He enlisted in the Newberry District of South Carolina on 15 September 1814. He seved in Captain John K Griffin's Company of Infantry, 3rd Regiment, South Carolina Militia commanded by Lieutenant Colonel John A Alston, and was discharged on 1 February 1815 at Georgetown, South Carolina.
