George Peterson was born in the Colony of South Australia (1836-1900)

George was born on 7th Sep 1880 to "Father : Nels Peter PETERSON. Mother: Sarah Ann DOUBTFIRE."[1]

On Dec 27th 1902 George Peterson 22 Bachelor Fire Brigadier of Adelaide married Winifred Shaddock 19 spinster of Glanville at the Glanville Methodist Church in port Adelaide South Australia. They were married in the Presence of Godfrey Peterson (Jockey of Adelaide ) & Elizabeth Shaddock of Glanville. Father of the Bride listed as James Shaddock & groom as Nel Peter Peterson. [2]

George's birth date was a compromise between his Marriage Certificate, which has him as 22 in 1902 and his son Frank Walter's Birth Certificate, which has him as 29 in 1911. Franks birth cert. confirms George's birthplace as Port Pirie. The above is now redundant
