Peg was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, in 1924. She attended Oberlin College and graduated from the University of Michigan. She married naval officer Philip Myers III in Baltimore, Maryland, in 1944. They had six children. After World War II, for decades they alternated between Towson, Maryland, and Phil's workplaces in Latin America: Vera Cruz, Mexico; Bluefields, Nicaragua; Bogota, Colombia; Montevideo, Uruguay; and Asuncion, Paraguay. They retired to Baltimore. After Phil's death in 1987 she moved to Ann Arbor and died there in 1992.
