Biography

Luther Peterson was born at Duxbury, Plymouth, Province of Massachusetts Bay on April 8, 1746; the son of Reuben Peterson and his wife Rebecca (Simmons) Peterson^[1]

On November 29, 1789 at Duxbury, Luther married Priscilla Chipman;^[2] daughter of Benjamin Chipman and his wife Hannah (Wadsworth) Chipman. Priscilla was born at Kingston in Plymouth County on July 25, 1761.^[1]

Luther Peterson died April 1, 1822, age 75 years^[1]and was buried at the Dingley Cemetery, Duxbury, Plymouth, Massachusetts.^[3]

4. Alvah b. 12 Jun 1797; m. 1 Jun 1823 (living at Columbia, Me.) Joanna Williamson of Marshfield (Kingston Vital Records)^[7]
