Philena Peterson was born in 1841 in Prince Edward County. She married Grant Noxon in 1860. They lived in Sophiasburgh Township, Prince Edward County, until at least 1885. Later they moved to Toronto. They had two children. She died in 1909 and was buried in Glenwood Cemetery, Picton (Prince Edward County).
In most documents "Sarah" is omitted. Spellings Philena, Philana, Phelena, and Phalena occur.
