Biography
William Peterson was baptized in January 1859 in Kaladar, Anglesea, Ontario with birth recorded as 15 December 1858 in Anglesea. In 1871 the family was in Adolphustown, Lennox County, and in 1881 in Sophiasburgh, Prince Edward County. He married Sarah Ann Ellis in 1892 in Picton, Prince Edward County. In 1901 he was a farm laborer in Adolphustown living on Concession 1 Lot 20 with Sarah and three children. They may have lived in Leeds and Grenville County, where the birth of a daughter is recorded in 1906. In 1911 they were in Hallowell Township, Prince Edward County, William a farmer. In 1921 they were in Sophiasburgh Township, he listed as a laborer. They had six children, born 1894-1920. Sarah died in 1928 in Sophiasburgh. In 1940 William was a laborer in Picton. He died in 1943 in Athol Township, Prince Edward County. (Presumably he was buried with Sarah in Adolphustown.)
