Biography
Nils Christoffersson was born on August 4, 1854 in Västanå nr 6 in Näsum parish, Kristianstads län, Skåne, Sweden. He was the son of Christopher Persson and his wife Hannah Andersdotter.[1]
Known as Nels F. Peterson in America. He emigrated with his parents and two brothers in 1869, he would have been abt. 15 years old then.[2]
Came to America by sailboat in 1867, took 6 weeks to cross and came direct to MN.
