Anna Pettibone's grandfather, J1432 Seth Pettibone, was a Revolutionary War soldier who fought in the Battle of Bennington [see J1432 Seth Pettibone; also National Archives and Records Service, Widow's Pension File W26311, Seth Pettibone]. Nothing is known about Anna Pettibone herself except that she was born in Manchester, Vermont, and her parents moved with their family to Bradford County, Pennsylvania, in the early 1820s.[1]
