John was born about 1781 to Ephraim and Elizabeth (Jennings) Peyton.

17. John3 Peyton (Ephraim2, Robert1) was born circa 1781 TN; he married Sarah Rogers , daughter of Armistead Rogers and Susannah D. Jouett, 24 Dec 1808 Sumner Co., TN; he died 1834.
Sarah Rogers was born circa 1792. She died on 24 Mar 1863, Midway, Hot Springs Co., AR.
Children of John3 Peyton and Sarah Rogers were as follows:
  • 53. i. Letitia4 Peyton was born 1811-1813. Hot Springs, AR.; she married Levi [Levy] Dean 18 Jan 1827.
  • 54. ii. Sarah Susan Peyton was born 1816; she married Dr. Philip Physik 1835; she died circa 1860.
  • + 55. iii. Mary Peyton, born 9 Sep 1826 Sumner Co, TN; married Edward Porter Kearby.
  • 56. iv. Henrietta Peyton was born 15 Jan 1828; she married William C. Orbison 7 Nov 1847; she died 17 Nov 1892.
  • 57. v. Bailey Isaac Peyton was an attorney; he was born 1831; he died 15 May 1857.
  • + 58. vi. Robert Peyton, born 1833; married Ella Fay Morrison.
