It appears this Samuel Peyton may have traveled to Carlisle in Nicholas County with his brother Stephen. The following records show a son named Stephen who married to Nancy Doughty, daughter of Thomas Doughty in Nicholas Co. KY in 1807. She was named Nancy Peyton in her father's land division of 1834. Samuel and this son (probably b. 1788) appear to be neighbors during the 1810 census.
