Biography

Michael Philbrick was born on 10 November 1734 in Newbury, Massachusetts.[1][2]

He married a woman named Mary (recorded as "Marcy" in some documents) but her maiden name is uncertain. The family relocated to Standish, Maine (then called Pearsontown) sometime around 1763. They had nine children[3]:

1. William, born 10 Dec 1759; married Martha Nickerson
2. Olive, born 6 Jan 1762[4]
3. Gideon, born 21 Apr 1764; married Eunice West[5]
4. Michael, born 19 Jun 1766; married Jane Snow
5. Eunice, born 18 Mar 1768; married Aaron Snow
6. Stephen, born 27 Feb 1770; married Betsy Nowlen
7. Rhoda, born 22 Apr 1772; married Enoch Shaw
8. Mary, baptized 17 Apr 1774; died young
9. Samuel, born 15 Mar 1777; married Anna Simonton

The family relocated to Thorndike, Maine, around 1803, and Michael died there in 1813[6].
