Thomas Phillips married first Sarah Hawkins Thompson (1760-1794) on 10 October 1776 in Christ Church, Philadelphia, PA. They had nine children: Eleanor (1775-1856); John Hawkins (1777-1830); Mark (1778-1837); William (1782-1834). David (1784-1863); Elizabeth (1785-1872); Sarah "Sally" E. (1786-?); Thomas P., Jr. (1789-1847); Rosannah (1792-1866).
Thomas Phillips, Sr., married second Mary "Polly" DePriest (1750-1841).
Thomas Phillips' will includes the name of his married daughter, Rosannah Phillips Crowder.
